Abstract

Due to the impact of COVID-19, Beijing New Channel has put its education content online to help students learn. Since New Channel has just been introduced to online education, it tries to improve students' academic performance in terms of online
teaching management. Harty (2015) tested hundreds of factors affecting students' academic performance, among which teachers dominated. The purpose of this paper is to study the impact of online education management style on students' academic
performance. The author divides online education management mode into classroom management, technological tools, and interactive teaching. A questionnaire survey was conducted among 426 New Channel students. SPSS was used for statistical
analysis. Several statistical methods were used including Normal Distribution Tests, KMO and Bartlett Sphericity Tests, Pearson Correlation tests and Multiple Linear Regression. The results identified that all three variables: classroom management, technological tools and interactive teaching have significant influences on students' academic performance. There is linear relationship between the three variables i.e. (i) classroom management, (ii) technological tools, and (iii) interactive teaching. This
study is helpful to further study the influencing factors of students' academic performance.
