THE MALAYSIA PLAN 11 EFFECT ON SME IN NEGERI SEMBILAN

Abstract

Every country will have own growth strategy which bring the country from the member of third world country to be one of the members of develop country. Therefore, in this research will concentrate on Malaysia growth strategy. Malaysia using Malaysia Plan to achieved the goal – Member of Develop Country.

Malaysia has introduced 11th Malaysia Plan which help Malaysia to change and be a well develop country. Malaysia government has set in the year 2020, Malaysia will become of the member of the develop country. But unfortunately, in Malaysia Plan 10, Malaysia cannot perform according to the goal that has set the 6th Malaysia Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Abdul Razak and now the government set higher goal to achieved in Malaysia Plan 11 where Malaysia Plan 10 and Malaysia Plan 11 are the most important plan which will help Malaysia drive to achieved Malaysia vision 2020.

Through the data shows that, Malaysia SME cannot perform according to what has expected by the Malaysia government. It drags the whole Malaysia economic and Malaysia cannot perform as expected. There are total of 4 SME in Negeri Sembilan has go through the interviews and provides information through pass experience and current barrier faced. Proposition that has been suggested by the researcher there are one of the propositions has been rejected – market access. SME in Negeri Sembilan mention that the policies that has set by the host country become of the barrier to stop Malaysia SME in Negeri Sembilan to do the export activities.

Export activities is one of the criterial for Malaysia to increase the GDP and employment rate. Through the interview, researcher do find that, all the information that has record in World Bank has been proved by the SME in Negeri Sembilan. Besides that, the quality of the fresh graduate is not meet the industry requirement. This is another reason why the fresh graduate in Malaysia is fluctuated and cannot reach to the percentage that has set by the Malaysia government.

In conclusion, the government should listen to the local SME and try to study other countries policies how to protect the local businesses. Unlimited market access for foreign countries to Malaysia will influence some of the local industries. Malaysia government should look into it seriously.
