THE IMPACT OF JOB CHARACTERISTICS ON EMPLOYEE TURNOVER IN BANKING INDUSTRY IN XI’AN CHINA

High employees’ turnover was a major issue which could have severe influence to many organization. The purpose of this research was to examine the relationship between core job characteristics and employee turnover in the banking industry in Xi’an. The core job characteristics were represented by predictors of skill variety, task identity, task significance, autonomy and feedback. Six hypotheses had been derived for this research. Through questionnaire survey, the information of bank employees in xi 'an city was collected to study the relationship between job characteristics and employee turnover, and to provide conclusions, discussions and suggestions.
