FACTOR INFLUENCING TOURIST VISIT INTENTION TO SINGAPORE

Abstract

In the current society, tourism industry has been developed as one of the most promising industries with sufficient economy effects all over the world. Singapore as a major country in Southeast Asia area, the tourism industry in Singapore is a hot topic in this context. However, gaps still exist among all the previous studies conducted in the literature. For example, a detailed factor study integrating cutting-edge technologies should be conducted to reveal the development in current era. Furthermore, the comparison and discussion on the general tourist visit intention background is lacking. In this paper, in order to address above issues, a comprehensive literature review is presented. Moreover, a detailed quant analysis is used based on the data collected by a customized questionnaire to the potential tourist visit to Singapore and tourist who have been to Singapore. The main analysing approach includes sampling, pilot test and measurements on several advanced testing frame. The conclusion is made according to the analysis results in the end of this paper. The results showing that food image, attitude towards to infrastructure and subjective norms with the positive relationship with tourist visit intention. However, perceived value with no influence on tourist visit intention.
