Abstract

Purpose
The purpose of this study is to explore the effectiveness of talent acquisition and human resource management in Zhengzhou chain catering industry in China, and to link the effectiveness of human resources management through talent interviews, talent screening and talent entry.

Design, Methodology and Approach
A qualitative method is applied to conduct this research with a comparative case study analysis in two chosen water heater companies, China.

Findings
This study found that talent acquisition and talent on-boarding are important factors influencing the effectiveness of human resource management in Zhengzhou chain catering enterprises. According to the personal interviews of six people in Zhengzhou chain catering industry, the talent screening and talent selection dimension are important factors in the process of talent acquisition. However, it is uncertain whether it will affect the effectiveness of human resource management in chain catering enterprises.

Research Limitation and Implications
The sample size limitation and time limitation will be major issues influencing this research.
