THE FACTORS THAT INFLUENCING THE INTENTION OF CUSTOMERS TO USE E-PAYMENT IN KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA

Abstract

With the development of the technology, there is a rapid development of the electronic payment system which make the payment become more and more convenient and effective. There is an increasing trend that more and more people are willing to use e- payment in their lives especially in China. However, the e-payment system in Malaysia is not widely used. This study is to research the factors that influencing the intention of customers to use e-payment in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Moreover, the framework of this research is based on the theory of reasoned action (TRA), and the data are collected through the questionnaires which received 384 valid questionnaires. In addition, data analysis of this study uses the SPSS and then it uses factor analysis and multiple regression to find out the critical factors that influence customers’ intentions to e-payment. Finally, this study provides the recommendations to e-payment management institution in Malaysia to attract more people use the e-payment.
