GREEN HR PRACTICES INFLUENCE ON EMPLOYEE GREEN BEHAVIOR IN CHINA’S BANKS

In recent years, environmental problems have occurred frequently, and all walks of life are paying more and more attention to the concept of green and environmental sustainability. The success of the measures taken by the organization to achieve environmental sustainability depends on the green behavior of employees. As an embodiment of the strategy of supporting organizations, one of the important challenges faced by the HR management department is to ensure that green concepts and environmental sustainability are incorporated into HR management strategies. The purpose of this research is to examine the influence of green human resource management practices on the employee green behavior in China's banks. The practices involved in this research include green recruitment, green learning and development, as well as green compensation and reward. This research collected data from 274 employees of China's banks to test the 3 dimensions of green human resource practices. The findings show that green human resource management practices have a positive influence on the employee green behavior. In addition, green recruitment, green compensation and reward which are the dimensions of green human resource management practices, show positive influence on the employee green behavior in China's banks. However, green learning and development has shown a negative influence on employee green behavior in this research.
