The Factors Affecting the Effectiveness of Warehouse Management in Shanghai

Abstract

More and more Chinese people like online shopping, which leads to higher requirements for the logistics industry, especially the warehouse of it. However, the warehouse management has low effectiveness because of lots of stuffs. This study is to research the factors affecting the effectiveness of warehouse management for logistics industry in Shanghai, China. The factors include layout, employee motivation and facilities. As we all know, Shanghai is one of the most modern and economically developed cities in China. People's consumption level is very high, and shopping online is very frequent and convenient, which lead to more  demand and high requirement logistics companies. This study will pick up 6 logistics companies, for delivering online shopping goods, and distribute 50 questionnaires for each company to collect data. After collecting relevant data about warehouse management from Chinese’ logistics industry in Shanghai, it will find the factors that leads to low effectiveness in warehouse management by analyzing it.
