FACTORS INFLUENCING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF SOCIAL RECRUITING IN CHINA

Within the last five years there has been an increase in the use of social media for recruitment purposes, with many companies and job hunters embracing it for this purpose. This research aims to investigate the factors influencing the effectiveness of social recruiting.
The literature review focuses on the effectiveness of social recruiting and whether the company image, the recruiter competence, the social network and the recruitment advertising has impact on the effectiveness of social recruiting. In order to collect the primary research a quantitative approach is undertaken with the use of questionnaire. The respondents of the questionnaire were
recruiters in companies in Shenzhen, China. There were 200 valid samples collected to do the analysis. This research analyzed the data collected from the questionnaire and provides an in-depth discussion on the results gathered. The majority of respondents surveyed stated that the recruitment advertising and recruiter competencies has increased the effectiveness of recruitment.
