THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN TALENT MANAGEMENT AND EMPLOYEE RETENTION IN THE BANKING INDUSTRY IN KLANG VALLEY

The retention of employees has been shown to be significant to the accomplishment of the organizations’ objectives especially in building competitive advantage over other organizations. The objective of this research is to identify the factors of career development, compensation, performance management, job design, and talent acquisition contributing to employee retention in banking industry. The research is significant to investigate the determinants that affect the employee retention in the banking industry in Klang Valley.
The primary data of this investigation was assembled by allocating 200 questionnaires to respective employees in Klang Valley. The Cronbach’s Alpha reliability test was executed on every variable which exhibited reasonable reliability results with more than 0.7 alphas.
Pearson Correlation Coefficient is utilized to analyze the strength of responses from the questionnaires that were collected. Therefore, all the variables obtained coefficient ranging from ±0.7 to ± 0.90 which indicated moderate to high strength of association. Moreover, Multiple Linear Regressions Analysis discovered that all variables had significant relationship with employee retention.
In a nutshell, the analysis on the major findings, implications of the research, and limitations for the study and proposals for future research are deliberated in the end of this study.
