EMPLOYEE SATISFACTION IN CHINESE BANK INDUSTRY

Employee job satisfaction in Chinese banking industry is a critical issue in recent years. There are approximately 4.17 million bank employees in China (Statistica, 2017). About 2.6% of China‟s population is involved in banking. Furthermore, job satisfaction is a part of employee life satisfaction, so the employee job satisfaction becomes one of the top priorities in any organizations (Abdolshah, 2018). In this research, there are four factors which are reward, work environment, co-workers behaviour and supervisors behaviours. The main purpose of this research is to examine the relationship between four above influencing factors and employee job satisfaction in Chinese banking industry in Zhengzhou, China. Quantitative methods are used in this study through self-administered questionnaires via online websites. According to Krejcie and Morgan (1970), there are 384 employees of Chinese banking industry will be participated in this survey. The findings indicated that reward and supervisior behaviour have positive relationship with employee satisfaction, whereas work environment has a negative relationship with employee satisfaction in the Chinese banking industry in Zhengzhou, China. Hence, based on the findings, this research proposed measures to enhance the employee job satisfaction in Chinese banking industry in Zhengzhou, China.
