Abstract

This research paper is intention to identify the factors influencing the employee empowerment among SMEs industry in Malaysia. Although there have been many analyses made by previous researchers on various factor that influence employee empowerment, however in this research, mainly focus on Klang Valley areas in Malaysia where is the stated with large amount of SMEs organizations. In this research, there are three (3) factors influencing the employee empowerment are being considered, which including delegation of authority, employee engagement and leadership style. Literature supports have been reviewed on the influencing factors to understand employee empowerment. This is a quantitative research, which distributing questionnaire to collect data from respondents for further test and analysis to prove the relationship and influence. Beside that, the key findings reveal that delegation of authority has the highest influence in the employee empowerment among SMEs in Malaysia Klang Valley area. Through the understanding of what are those influence factors, organizations from SMEs industry can concern on this factors to improve the employee empowerment as well as operate more effectively.
